Our Crazy World..

Interesting ‘Snippets’ from around our crazy world!

Kuwait – ‘Well this certainly looks fishy…’

A fish store in Kuwait had to be shut down by government officials after the owners were caught sticking plastic googly eyes on fish in a bid to make them appear fresher!

The hilarious image – shown below – of one of the ‘fresh fish’ were shared on social media by the local newspaper Al Bayan.

The paper said that the country’s ministry of commerce had to shut down the store after being informed by a consumer.

Twitter users went on to ridicule the fishmongers ploy…

One said :-  ‘I thought I’ve seen it all, but twitter always proves me wrong’

Whilst another commented :-  ‘Yeah this is a full-scale scam’

But our favourite comment has to be :- ‘Well this certainly looks fishy. I hope they go to court and are found gill-ty.’

China – Pole dancing ‘school’…

Hundreds of children and parents at the Xinshahui kindergarten in Shenzhen, in the southern province of Guangdong, were looking forward to seeing the back to school show but watched in shock as a female pole dancer performed on a flagpole in a large courtyard at the school.
Videos posted by some parents show the dancer wearing black shorts and a crop top whilst spinning and leaning seductively on the flagpole, from which a Chinese flag was flying.

Speaking to state media, the principal (who has since been dismissed for her error of judgement) Lai Rong said there had been 500 children aged three to six and 100 parents in attendance.

Journalist Michael Standaert, whose children attend the school said “They also had a bunch of adverts out for a pole dancing school – they most likely paid the principle to put them up”.

Well we hope she took advantage of those free pole dancing lessons she hopefully received in exchange as she will be need the money now she’s not principled anymore!

Georgia – aqua record…

Vako Marchelashvili a student from Georgia holds a world record that we doubt anyone will want to best anytime soon.  He solved six Rubik’s Cubes underwater in one breath!

Vako was submerged in a glass tank for just over 1 minute 44 seconds in front of a tense crowd at the Gino Paradise aqua park in Tbilisi, Georgia.

We bet the crowd were waiting with bated breath, luckily though they like Vako weren’t submerged in water!
